Lecture Bloopers

What a crazy week ahead. I’ve got two midterm exams coming up and a Psych presentation too. Well, the worst is yet to come. Just looking ahead to my final exam schedule, I’ll be having three finals in two days, back to back. Isn’t that nuts? I’ve never had an arrangement like that before. Oh joy.

A really interesting thing happened today during my early morning lecture. The professor was teaching about antenna arrays, specifically the different types of arrays out there. He was clicking on several already open windows with pictures of antenna arrays. When the came to the last one, he clicked on the window and it maximized to reveal a picture of several beauty pageant contestants in swimsuits. Clearly embarrassed, he quickly closed the window and blamed Google for messing up. How could it? Anyway, the lecture went on, but he did try to defend himself intermittently throughout the lecture.

Tonight, there’s going to be a meeting for all the people involved in the Gempitafest. The notice was written with very heavy Malay slang, and really it’s a big turn off for people like me who don’t use BM as our primary language. I had to call the organizer and ask him personally when the meeting will be. The shocking thing was, the email said that it is going to be at 9.30, but when I called he said 9pm, then changed his mind and said 8.30pm. When I told him that the email said 9.30, he said to follow the email. Gee, what the dilly?

Anyhoo, I’m inching closer and closer to reaching my financial target to enable me to go for my vacation. The plans aren’t fixed yet so I don’t think it’s wise to say where I’ll be spending my winter break just yet. Not all of my friends have confirmed with me yet, but either way, I’m going. Even if I have to backpack on my own, my mind is set.
