My Sassy Girl...*shudder
After a really lame attempt at revising for my midterm exam, which is tomorrow, I decided to watch a movie. I picked “My Sassy Girl” which was sitting in my hard disk untouched for almost two months now.
My Sassy Girl is this romantic Korean movie. I wouldn’t have known it existed if it wasn’t for Joanne who highly recommended it. Another lesson why I shouldn’t listen to that woman. Haha.
Basically the story is about this loser who can’t find love. One day riding on the subway, he stumbles upon this really hot girl who’s stoned drunk. She pukes and just before she passes out, she calls him “Honey”. So everyone on the subway was lead to think that he was her boyfriend. Because of that, he had to clean up the mess and take care of her.
Before he knew it, he was caught in this spider web of a relationship with her. She becomes some sort of a stalker, but he likes it because she’s hot. Anyway, this guy’s a real tool. She climbs all over him and he just lets her. As time goes by, she falls in love with him but doesn’t show it (she sporadically punches him in the face and threatens to kill him). But the ending ties in quite dramatically, as somehow they get a sign that they were meant to be together. Not going to say how, but it was really random and highly unlikely in a real life situation. Sigh…these romantic movies.
Oh, and interestingly enough, the main actress actually looks like one of the freshmen here. No no, I know all Asians look sort of alike, but take it from a fellow asian lar. No kidding.
Anyway, I have a review session in 15 mins so I better get going. Argh…have to get by this week really soon.
