Plucky wucky
Argghh…came back from my ME211 exam. So horrid…I totally bombed! There was just not enough time. Glad to know I wasn’t the only one complaining. The professor has a reputation of setting exams that result in students griping about time constraints anyway.
I’m starting to worry about being too money minded. This obsession of selling my camera stuff to fund my winter break is starting to worry me. There was this sudden rush of ecstasy when I checked my bank account to find that the funds from a transaction came in. Well, I guess it’s a normal reaction. But man, it’s starting to look like my part time job now. I’m currently scouring the net, looking for good deals on stuff to sell and make some cash. *Kachinnggg!!
I’m quite happy that the prices of gas is slowly coming down. I just went to get a full tank of gas yesterday. Premium goes for about $2.19 per gallon now. It was $2.26 a couple of days ago. I guess since the election is over and the war on Iraq has stabilized somewhat (with the exception of Falluja).
I just got this program called Pluck ( www.pluck.com). It’s basically a news reader sort of program that runs on RSS (Really Simple Syndication). Well, there seems to be no consensus on what RSS really stands for.
So what this program does basically is just gets live “feeds” from websites like CNN and PCWorld and just presents the headlines as links so you can just click and read with ease. No need to do a visual search through the elaborate banners and ads just to look for headlines. So all you get is a list of clickable headlines. Just click and you can read your news, articles, etc.
A really cool thing is it comes integrated with an Ebay search engine that renews itself automatically. So it can tell you when new stuff gets posted online. This is one of my favorite features of this program. Yes yes, ebay addict.
So go download it. It’s FREE. And I highly recommend it.
