Dead to Sin, Alive In Christ!!

What a day. It’s been a long time since I’ve been out for so long. But it was all worth it. I had a great time hanging out with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, even though most of the time I was dopey due to the lack of sleep.

Baptism service was awesome. I can easily say that it was the most fun baptism service that I have ever been to. Baptism service wasn’t so much about celebrating new life while I was back home. It was more about the captainball game at the end. *tsk tsk.

This year was different for me. Just listening to the testimonies alone was such a moving experience, as the candidates poured out their hearts about how they’ve struggled to find Christ. I was especially rejoicing for both Kai and Mel, who both reached a milestone in the story of their lives. Even the baptism ceremony itself was really fun as Pastor Seth was on a roll, making wisecracks here and there.

Still, the mental image of two guitar slinging guys, a pastor, a bunch of people in grey robes and the rest of the church on the sandy beaches of Penang are still very much alive and well.

I am a new creation,
No more in condemnation,
Here in the grace of God I stand...
