Video Rentals

I was really bored last night. I was done with my midterm and there's only a little left of my homework assignment that is due on Friday. So I decided to burn off my night watching DVDs.

So I headed over to Hollywood Video down on Plymouth Rd. to pick up some DVDs. Got Danny Deckchair, Natural Born Killers and the Star Wars Bonus Material DVD.

Hollywood Video is doing something similar to Netflix and Blockbuster to keep up with the competition. They're also doing the one payment per month thingy for unlimited rentals every month. But the difference is they're not doing it through the mail but by coming to the store in person and returning it in person too. All for cheaper than the others at $9.99 per month.

I actually prefer this system because it cuts down the time it takes for all the mailing back and forth. It's also more secure because you can personally make sure that the DVDs are returned.

So think about it. Rental for one DVD is $3.75. I got three last night that pretty much gives me my money's worth and a little more. Plus I get to rent three more movies once I'm done with the ones I already have.

Move away, MnM's...the next addiction will be to DVDs. =P
