Jumping Ship
After a while dealing with the clunkiness of Internet Explorer, I decided this afternoon to switch over to the Gen-X, yuppie-rated, Rebel-fronted Mozilla Firefox browser. I just couldnt take the multiple windows opening everytime I wanted to download a single file. Clunky clunky.
So I downloaded the program, installed it an ran it. I like the whole tabbing idea. Makes things better organized and saves so much space on my desktop toolbar. I also like the fact that there are all those cool bells and whistles that you can download as extensions and add-ons.
Call me a slow starter. The last time I changed browsers was from Netscape to IE. Yep, I was one of the early adopters back in those highschool days. Us computer club geeks were sticking it up to the jolly blue giant of Microsoft by going Netscape. Then MS pulled a fast one on Netscape with the ability to load faster (no stupid splash screen). I had to switch.
The funny thing is after I installed Firefox and loaded all my settings, IE refused to work. Everytime I launched the program, it would appear in my toolbar as an opened program but the window wouldnt show. It's as if it was hiding off-screen, cowering in fear of its nemesis. Ah well. Change is always good.
