Windows Power Toys

I was reading this E-book about how to optimize Windows XP when I stumbled upon something actually helpful. It was a link to some little Windows add-ons that help make some tasks easier. Good news, it's free and there's no verification of authenticity for your copy of Windows XP.

The two tools that I found most useful were the Image Resizer and the Alt-Tab replacement.

The image resizer enables me to resize my images to certain set dimensions with a simple right click of my mouse. Rather than opening up huge programs like Adobe Photoshop or the light IrfanView, I just right click on the pic I want to resize, select the resize option and choose what size I want it to be. It's simple, and effective. Quality isnt too shabby either. Good for resizing pics u wanna put on the web.

The Alt-Tab replacement is extremely handy. I believe it's something that the Mac OS had a huge upper hand over. Now the playing field is levelled somewhat. Ok, probably not. Anyway, most tech-savvy users like to switch between programs quickly using the buttons Alt+Tab. There wasnt much information that you could get from it. Now, with this add on, not only do you get a description of the program u want active, you get a little preview of what's on the program. It all shows in a little pop-up as below.

Good stuff, worth taking a look at.

Windows XP Powertoys.

Monkey...do you even read my posts? Maybe I should write an entry about you. Assuming that you can use my blog as an advertising base for yours, just because you linked my blog to yours.

Hey the numbers are in. Hits because of your site = ZERO!

Go spam some other place.

I guess I over-generalized by calling your "notices" ads. Still, my comment box is meant for comments pertaining to my respective entries. I do not appreciate you placing notices there as even though it is not an ad, you're promoting something which I have no knowledge about on my own webspace. Thank you for acknowledging my request.
